Pet Day Benefits Still Creek Youth

Still Creek boys and girls shampooed and dipped dogs at our Pet Day held in June. Still Creek Ranch provides a loving, structured home for boys and girls who are victims of rejection, abuse, abandonment or broken homes and hearts. The ranch, located east of Bryan, is a safe place for children to grow physically, spiritually and academically.

Educating Our Friends and Neighbors About Agriculture

From the Ground Up educates our friends and neighbors in the Brazos Valley about agriculture and its impact on their everyday lives. We talk with our members about their agricultural operations, academics about technological advancements and outreach, legislators about issues that impact rural life, and a host of other people who have insight to share about our nation's food and fiber. You can watch the weekly television segment at approximately 6:15 a.m. on Thursdays or during the Saturday 6 o'clock evening news on KBTX-TV 3, Bryan-College Stations CBS affiliate.  Watch stories online.

Children experience farm life at our annual Country Fair held Easter weekend. Parents and grandparents write to tell us that they are thankful that children have the opportunity to pet real farm animals. We appreciate the many members and FFA youth who make this event possible.

Awesome Texas Agriculture increases student interest in the vital role that agriculture plays in their daily lives. It complements existing educational formats and allows teachers to easily embrace agricultural themes in the classroom. The latest issue reached thousands of classrooms and homes throughout Texas. Producers Cooperative partnered with other sponsors, the Texas Department of Agriculture and Newspapers in Education.
